Stride Routine ("the app") is developed by Gafat Software Solutions ("we", "us").

What Data We Store

All habits, completion history, and settings you create in Stride Routine are stored only on your device, in a local database. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to your habit names, completion history, or any personal notes you enter.

Backup files you create are saved to your device's app-specific storage and are only shared if you explicitly choose to share or export them.

Advertising and Analytics

Stride Routine shows ads served by Google AdMob to support free access to the app. AdMob and its partners may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising ID) and general usage data to show and measure ads, and, where you have consented (for example if you are in the EEA or UK), to personalize ads.

The app also uses Google Analytics for Firebase to collect anonymized usage data (such as which features are most used). This helps us understand how the app is used and improve it for all users. You can see and manage your choices via Google's Ads Settings and the in-app consent dialog shown on first launch where required by law.

You can review Google's own privacy practices at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Ad Configuration and Fraud Prevention

Each time the app starts, it asks a Gafat Software server whether ads are switched on for this app. The request carries the app's package name and a hashed identifier of your device: a one-way SHA-256 hash of your device's Android ID. We use it only to prevent ad fraud, never for advertising and never to identify you.

To protect advertisers and keep the app free, Stride Routine stops showing ads for a while after an ad is tapped, and for longer if ads are tapped unusually often. When that happens, the app sends that hashed identifier, the reason and the length of the pause to our server, so the pause still applies if the app's data is cleared or the app is reinstalled. A record lasts only as long as its pause, at most one year. The app works exactly the same while ads are paused.

Permissions

The app requests only the permissions it needs to function:

Stride Routine does not request access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, or files outside its own app-specific storage.

Data Deletion

Users can request and perform the deletion of all locally stored habit data, completion history, and personal notes by using the 'Clear Data' or 'Clear Storage' options in the Android system settings for Stride Routine, or by uninstalling the application. This action also resets and deletes associated anonymized analytics identifiers.

An ad-pause record on our server deletes itself when the pause ends, at most one year after it began. It holds only the hashed identifier, the reason and the length of the pause, and nothing that names you.

How to Ask Us to Delete Your Data

E-mail support@gafatsoftware.com from any address, with "Stride Routine data deletion" as the subject. Tell us roughly when you last used the app and which phone you used, so we can find the records that belong to your install: the analytics data is filed under a random identifier and holds nothing that names you.

We delete the analytics data for your install, and any ad-pause record held for your device, within 30 days of your request. There is no account to close: the app has never asked for one. Clearing the app's data or uninstalling it resets the analytics identifier straight away, without waiting for us.

Deleting that data does not touch anything on your phone. Your habits, completion history and notes live only on your device and are removed by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it.

Children's Privacy

Stride Routine is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
